Arab-Americans in Astoria bank on Obama's promise of change

Queens, Nov. 4 -- All eyes are on the flat-screen television in Shams Al Al Aseel Coffee, one of the handful Egyptian shisha cafes along Steinway Avenue in Queens. Any other day, the customers –- mostly middle aged men originally from Egypt, Morocco or Lebanon -- would be watching soccer and arguing over who should win. Read more »
